I know I did.
First, Dad drove us out to Midland in the CHP Police car to participate in their Independence Day Parade.
It was REALLY awesome!
We wound up being behind The Blues Brothers (whom Dad knows personally, I never met them before yesterday). To say the least, they were amazing to watch, and it was clear that they were very popular with the croud. Sometimes when Dad's sirens would blare, one (or both) of the Blues Brothers would act like they're in trouble/put their hands on the car, and Dad would say something on the CB. It was very amusing. Definitely very funny, and the croud loved it. I'm convinced that my Dad and The Blues Brothers make a great team. Plus, the two cars look quite amazing following each other.
I also just couldn't believe how many people there were. Sooo many! I think it's fairly safe to say the the Midland Parade is probably one of the biggest parades locally.
Then The Blues Brothers convinced us to attend the Leetsdale Parade a little while later.
Leetsdale of course was just as amazing!
I got to meet another friend of my Dad's whom he has known since high school. He's a retired police officer now, but he's a very nice guy. Without a doubt a cool cop. He has a replica Kit car from the tv series Knight Rider, and everyone had to educate me on that, because I had no idea what it was. It's quite an interesting car. Hahaha. I said it looked like a video game. XD Regardless, it was a real treat to see it, since he apparently doesn't take it out very much.
Oh! We also saw Dave (not Davy Lee)! That was cool, since we were going to see him later at the track.
After the parades, we came home to have just enough time to eat something before heading out to the races.
Nick K. did extremely well during his heat race! I <3 how he just slithered through everybody, and somehow made his way out to the front!
Reminded me very much of Davy.
It was autograph night as well. Dad and I went down to say hello to our friends, and give out pictures that Dad has been saving probably since last year. XD
I also must say, that I am beyond impressed at the progression of the Amateur Stocks. We still don't have that many, but the ones we do have, have improved sooo well. I am so proud of them. They manage to keep up with each other, and that makes the race all the more interesting, of course.
Afterwards, I found Debbie and she filled Dad and I in on all of the action that we missed last weekend. I'm not going to broadcast what happened, but let's just say, IT SUCKS! To say the least, July is going to feel a little more empty. In response to what happened, the fire felt empty as well. ... grrr... it makes me sad.
Anywho, I'm here at Dad's now. Just chilling. Waiting for Grandpa to arrive, and hopefully eat soon.
Oh, and Happy Birthday Nathan! I hope your surprise party was a good one, and that you and your family enjoyed the fireworks... and that your sister didn't pick on you too much for being 30.
^_^
Ok, I think that's all I have to say for now.
Toodles!
<3

Oh wow!
Now, I must thank you.
<3
For the watch, faves, and compliment!
Keep up your great work!
I enjoy peeping into your gallery from time to time.
