The Blizzard of... 2010?

Sat Feb 6, 2010, 1:58 PM
Ok, there is officially about 20 inches of snow outside, and the peeps on the local news are saying that this is the fourth (possibly third) worst snow storm we've ever had.

Yeah, the entire State of Pennsylvania is even under a State of Emergeny.
Yep, fun fun fun.

Sure, it's lovely to look at, esp. today since the sun is shinning so lovely and the sky is all blue, but it's no picnic to shovel.

We started shoveling around 1pm and we just came in to eat (about two hours later), and we are only about half way up the drive way.

I guess one nice thing shoveling brings, is that it provides a nice opportunity to bond with your neighbours.
I mean there isn't much else to do, so having a funny conversation with the people who live next to you makes the work out a little bit easier to deal with (while the both of you are shoveling away).

I think one of the worst parts about this snow, is that since there is sooo much of it, THERE'S NO WHERE TO PUT IT!

It's just crazy outside.
I've never seen so much snow in my life.
I mean, everyone is talking about the Blizzard of 93' but... I don't remember that... I was like 4.

Not to mention our power has gone off about 8-10 times in the past 12 hours, and Mom said there was a point this morning when we didn't have power for almost 5 hours.

Oh, and I musn't forget that the International Airport is also shut down for the day.
The quietness throughout the Township is a little wierd.

Crazyness.

Well other than the extreme winter wonderland outside there isn't a whole lot going on.
I mean, there can't be PA feels like it's at a stand still.

Work has been going good.
Thursday esp. was a doozy.
I never actually hurt coming home from work before, but my legs and lower back ached until I went to sleep.
So, that was different.

Ok, I guess I should be off soon.
I think we are going out to battle the snow again.

Later.

No problem!

I just watched the series the other night, and I fell completely in love with it!

Makes me wonder why I didn't watch it sooner.

Anywho, you did a wonderful job!
So cute!

I did.
It's a lovely picture of the Twin Towers.
It looked like such a nice day.

Makes me sigh to know that I never got a chance to see them in real life.

Thank you. That was the vacation of a lifetime, and finding these pics again makes me really wish that the politicians in NY would stop bickering over the land and start rebuilding them exactly as they were. That would be the best way to honor the victims of 9/11, imho.
